The KCC Farmers Market at Kapi’olani Community College (KCC) radiates the aloha spirit. This market is on the island of Oahu in the city of Honolulu, in the state of Hawaii.

''Aloha'' is more than a Hawaiian word of greeting or farewell. It means mutual regard and affection. It extends warmth in caring with no obligation in return. Aloha is the essence of relationships in which each person is important to every other person.

From the Hawaii Law of the Aloha Spirit

The market's aloha spirit was on display as we examined the produce and a friendly shopper helped guide us in picking “the best”! And while talking to many of the vendors who said they buy ingredients that go into their final product from the other local vendors. The positive connection among people was part of the x-factor making this market very special.

We woke up early looking for breakfast and a few last minute gifts to take home. The minute we walked in, Morgan and I were greeted by live ukulele music and a quick 10 minute light rain. Oh so Hawaiian already 🙂 There is a 50+/- yard incline to walk up from the parking lot but once in the market the paved surface is flat and well spread out.
